You say you need a break, you can't breathe, as soon as you arrive you wanna leave you're always so very miserable. And then you lie on your back and you think of England dreaming you could be back home again under your cloud of misery. You could go anywhere in the world but you'll never escape from yourself. You keep chasing the sun. You never see what you've got. Even before it's begun you don't even want it that hot. You keep chasing the sun. I've noticed you're always applying your lotion, trying to block out emotion but you still get burned. Cos you can dress to the nines drink and dance the night away or sit feeling smug in your own little hideaway but don't you kid yourself, you're still chasing the sun. You never see what you've got. At five 'O' clock in the morning while our friends are still asleep, we'll runaway together and elope to Gretna Green, they'll be no one to stop us we'll be up before the sun. At five 'O' clock in the morning when the day has just begun. I'll see the blossom on the trees as I'm waiting for the bus, the optimistic springtime is just the start for us. Who knows where we'll end up, wherever we may roam, so put a pillow in your bed and run away from home. Summer games came and went, holidays money spent, autumn haze then would descend on us.
